ST. CHARLES, Missouri – Junior guard Gentry Baldwin tallied a career-best six assists and four steals in a 76-65 loss at Lindenwood on Thursday evening.
The Golden Eagles (2-2) had three players score in double figures, led by Jalei Oglesby with 18 points and six rebounds. Anna Trusty added 14 points, while Ari Gordon chipped in 10 points, four assists, and two steals off the bench.
Oral Roberts took advantage of strong ball movement, finishing with 18 assists on 24 made field goals. Baldwin's six assists led the way for the Golden Eagles.
ORU forced 19 Lindenwood turnovers and converted them into 17 points on the offensive end. Baldwin's four steals guided the Golden Eagles defensively.
After falling behind 13-4, ORU responded with an 11-0 run with 5:36 left in the first quarter to take a 15-13 lead. The Golden Eagles then surrendered the advantage and entered the second quarter trailing 19-18.
ORU kept the Lions from extending their lead early in the second before going on a 5-0 run, highlighted by a Trusty bucket, to take a 25-21 edge. Lindenwood answered and held a 33-30 lead at halftime.
The Golden Eagles' deficit grew in the third quarter, as ORU entered the fourth trailing 57-46. Oral Roberts found success in the paint during the period, scoring 10 of its 16 points near the rim.
Lindenwood extended its lead to 76-55 in the fourth before ORU mounted a late 10-0 run, capped by a Trusty layup, to make it 76-65 with seven seconds remaining. ORU pushed the pace throughout the quarter, scoring six fast-break points.

Oral Roberts: Jalei Oglesby led the team with 18 points and six rebounds, shooting 6-of-11 from the floor.
Lindenwood: Ellie Brueggemann paced the Lions with 18 points and seven assists.
