TULSA, Okla. – Led by junior guard Gentry Baldwin's career-best 21 points, the Oral Roberts women's basketball team battled Tulsa throughout Monday evening's Mayor's Cup matchup, ultimately falling to the Golden Hurricane in overtime.

The Golden Eagles had three players score in double figures. Baldwin led the way with 21, while Holton added 14 points and two blocks, and Kayten Donley contributed ten points, five assists, and three steals.

ORU was effective defensively, finishing with five blocks, including two from Holton.

The Golden Eagles trailed 17-11 after the first quarter but cut the deficit to 21-16 before using a 7-0 run, highlighted by a Holton basket, to take a 23-21 lead. Tulsa responded to tie the game at 29-29 at halftime. ORU dominated the paint in the second quarter, scoring 10 of its 18 points around the rim.

Tulsa grabbed a 39-34 advantage early in the third, but ORU answered with a 10-0 run to move ahead 44-39 with 45 seconds remaining in the frame. The Golden Eagles sank a pair of three-pointers in the quarter on their way to 15 total points.

In the fourth, Tulsa outscored ORU 24-19 to tie the game at 63 and force overtime. Oral Roberts continued to attack inside, scoring 16 of its 19 fourth-quarter points in the paint.

Tulsa controlled the extra period, holding ORU to six points and securing a 78-69 win.

Oral Roberts: Gentry Baldwin led the Golden Eagles with a career-high 21 points. Anna Trusty grabbed a team-best four rebounds.

Tulsa: Hannah Riddick recorded a dominant double-double with 27 points and 18 rebounds.
