FORT MYERS, Fla. – Led by a 61.9 percent shooting performance from beyond the arc, the ORU men's basketball program defeated the Kennesaw State Owls 91-83 at Alico Arena.
 
The Golden Eagles had four players score in double figures, led by Connor Dow and Ty Harper, who had 22 points each. Jack Turner chipped in with 13 points while Ofri Naveh racked up 12. ORU forced 15 Kennesaw State turnovers, turning those takeaways into 16 points on the other end of the floor.
 
After falling behind 22-16, the Golden Eagles went on a 6-0 run with 7:01 left in the first half, culminating in a bucket from Dow, to tie the game at 22. ORU proceeded to grab a 37-34 lead heading into halftime. The Golden Eagles relied on their three-point shooting in the period, knocking down five triples to account for 15 of their 37 points. Kennesaw State took back the lead at 74-70 before the Golden Eagles went on an 11-0 run, finished off by a Yuto Yamanouchi-Williams three, seizing an 81-74 lead with 3:30 to go. The Golden Eagles continued to expand their margin and earned a 91-83 win as Head Coach Kory Barnett won his first game over a Division I opponent.
