#ORUMBB Takes Down John Brown as Kory Barnett Earns First Win as Head Coach

TULSA, Okla. – Head Coach Kory Barnett picked up his first win at the helm of the ORU men's basketball program in an 84-50 win over John Brown.
 
The Golden Eagles had three players score in double figures, led by Luke Gray, who tallied a career-high 17 points. Ty Harper added 13 points while Ofri Naveh stuffed the stat sheet with 11 points, seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks.
 
ORU began the scoring by going on a 7-0 run, to take an early lead with 18:13 left in the first half. The Golden Eagles then maintained that lead and entered halftime with a 40-33 advantage. ORU capitalized on nine John Brown turnovers in the half, turning them into 11 points on the other end of the floor. Following the break, ORU widened the lead, extending it to 50-36 before going on a 16-0 run to grow the lead to 66-36 with 10:20 to go. The Golden Eagles continued to extend the margin and coasted the rest of the way for the 84-50 win.
