TULSA – Oral Roberts women's soccer standouts Carson Arne, Brianna Castleberry, and Alani Chaple have been named to the Academic All-District team, as selected by College Sports Communicators. The recognition honors the nation's top student-athletes for exceptional achievements both academically and athletically. All three Golden Eagles now advance as CSC Academic All-American finalists and move on to the national ballot.
Senior defender Carson Arne, a Biology major carrying a perfect 4.00 GPA, continued to solidify her place as one of the Summit League's top academic performers. A consistent member of the Summit League Academic All-League Team and a two-time Women's Soccer Scholar of the Championships honoree, Arne's excellence in the classroom parallels her impact on the field. She earned Honorable Mention All-Summit League honors in 2025 after starting all 20 matches and logging 1,420 minutes. Her reliability and playmaking were evident as she recorded 3 assists, 14 shots, and 6 shots on goal. Arne also collected Summit League All-Tournament Team honors in 2024, showcasing her ability to elevate her performance in crucial postseason moments.
Junior forward Brianna Castleberry, a Business Administration major with a 3.86 GPA, earned Academic All-District recognition following one of the most dynamic offensive seasons in the conference. Castleberry appeared in 20 matches with 19 starts, producing 4 goals, 9 assists, and 17 total points over 1,137 minutes of play. Her 9 assists and 30 shots on goal both led the Summit League, while her 44 total shots ranked eighth and her 17 points ranked tenth. A two-time First Team All-Summit League selection (2023, 2025), Castleberry has also been a member of the Summit League Academic Honor Roll, demonstrating her continued excellence in both competitive and academic arenas.
Senior defender Alani Chaple, a Health and Exercise Science major with a 3.76 GPA, earned Academic All-District distinction after another strong season anchoring the ORU back line. Chaple started all 20 matches and logged 1,583 minutes, helping lead a defensive unit that consistently relied on her presence and composure. She added 3 shots and 2 shots on goal while earning Second Team All-Summit League honors in 2025. Her season also included the Week 3 Kwik Star Defensive Peak Performer of the Week award. Chaple's impact has been longstanding, with an All-Summit League Honorable Mention selection in 2024 underscoring her reliability and defensive consistency across multiple seasons.
