TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts track and field and cross country programs have signed transfer distance runner Sibonokuhle Thwala, Head Coach
Alick Musukuma announced Thursday.
Thwala will compete for both the track and field and cross country teams.
"It is rare to sign an athlete who is at this caliber," said Musukuma. "He could have gone anywhere, but he chose to come to ORU. God is truly building His kingdom at ORU. He is going to be a great boost to our men's track and field and cross country teams. He's going to make a great impact for us."
Thwala most recently completed his sophomore season at Fort Hays Tech Northwest where he competed on the track and field and cross country teams.
Throughout his collegiate career, the Johannesburg, South Africa native put together an impressive range of performances across both track and cross country:
