• Last weekend, the Golden Eagles eclipsed 60 kills against New Mexico State, their first 60+ kill match since 11/19/2022.
• Graduate student Julia Carr earned a spot on the Tulsa Volleyball Invitational All-Tournament Team last week, racking up 46 digs.
• Head coach Nolan Albrecht is in his first year as the head coach of the ORU volleyball program.
• Coach Albrecht added his sister Annika (Albrecht) Moulder and Katy Morrison to his staff as assistant coaches this summer.
• The Golden Eagles have welcomed nine newcomers this offseason, six of whom are freshmen.
• The Golden Eagles rank 51^st in the country in team attacks per set (36.17)
• Julia Carr has led ORU in digs in 10 of 13 matches this season.
• DS/L Julia Carr and MB Natassia Baptiste were named Summit League Preseason Players to Watch.
• ORU is one win away from 1,000 wins as a program (currently at 999)

Inside the Matchup: South Dakota

• The Golden Eagles will look to pick up their first win over the Coyotes since 2021, when ORU beat USD 3-1 at the Mabee Center.
• Last season, USD defeated South Dakota State in the Summit League Tournament Championship match, earning a bid into the NCAA Tournament.
• Head coach Leanne Williamson holds a 239-106 record over her 12 year tenure at South Dakota.
