VERMILLION, S.D. – The Golden Eagles dropped their second match of Summit League play to the South Dakota Coyotes, falling 3-0 on the road.
The Golden Eagles found themselves in an early deficit, trailing by as many as 10 points as South Dakota never surrendered the lead in a set that was never tied. ORU dropped the second set 25-18 despite a strong showing on the attacking end. The Golden Eagles put together a .310 hitting percentage with 12 kills in the set two loss. In set three, ORU trailed by as many as 17 points as South Dakota grabbed the advantage for good at 3-2.

- Suze Zijlstra had ORU's lone service ace in the loss.
- Cortnee Smith had a team-high nine kills for Oral Roberts.
- Oral Roberts got a match-high 16 digs from Julia Carr, her 11th match of the season with 10+ digs.
- ORU attackers were helped by a team-high 15 assists from Rachel Resta.
