TULSA, Okla. – After a 37-day road stint, the Oral Roberts men's soccer team netted three goals in the final 30 minutes of play to earn a 3-2 comeback victory over Central Arkansas Tuesday evening.
With the win, the Golden Eagles improve to 2-6-1 on the season.
The Bears struck first in the 17th minute, then extended their lead to 2-0 just six minutes into the second half.
ORU responded as David Palade scored in the 61st minute off an assist from Rhys Shirley, cutting the deficit to 2-1. Palade added his second goal eight minutes later to level the match. With 12 minutes remaining, Benjamin Morgan found the lower-left corner of the net off a pass from Emilio Cazares, sealing the 3-2 victory.
Inside the Box Score:
· Goalkeeper Jakub Grzesiak tallied two saves against 10 UCA shots, including four on goal.
· The Golden Eagles held the edge in shots (13-10), shots on goal (10-4), and corner kicks (9-3).
· Palade recorded his first two goals as a Golden Eagle, while Morgan netted his second of the season.
