EDINBURG, Texas – Oral Roberts fought back from a 1-0 deficit to defeat UTRGV, 2-1, Thursday evening on the road at the UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field Complex.

With the win, the Golden Eagles improved to 1-3-1 overall.

UTRGV opened the scoring in the 32nd minute.

The Golden Eagles pulled even in the 48th minute when Leonardo De Almeida Seixas netted his first goal of the season, assisted by Emilio Cazares. Just four minutes later, Tweneboa Kodua scored his first goal of the year, assisted by Ronardo Burgher, to give ORU a 2-1 lead that held the rest of the way.

Inside the Box Score:

• Jakub Grzesiak recorded three saves against seven total Vaquero shots.
• ORU held the edge in shots (10-7), saves (3-1), and corner kicks (11-1).
• The Golden Eagles put three shots on goal.
• Mason Dalton led the team with three shots, followed by Seixas with two.
