DENVER, Colo. – Connor Dow scored 23 points for the second consecutive game, but it wasn't enough to take down Denver as the Golden Eagles fell 98-87 to the Pioneers.
Four players finished in double figures for ORU, led by Dow, who had 23 points and two steals.
Ty Harper tacked on 18 points off the bench while
Yuto Yamanouchi-Williams and
Luke Gray each tallied 10 points.
The Golden Eagles and Pioneers were tied at 39 all before Denver parked a 17-9 run to close the half. After the break, ORU kept the Pioneers from increasing their lead before going on a 7-0 run, finished off by Harper's three, to shrink the deficit to 64-60 with 14:31 to play. Denver responded and outscored the Golden Eagles the rest of the way, securing the 98-87 win.
