TULSA, Okla. – Ofri Naveh recorded the first double-double of his career, racking up 22 points and 13 rebounds as the ORU men's basketball team fell 73-62 to the Omaha Mavericks.
In addition to Naveh's outing, the Golden Eagles were led by Connor Dow and Ty Harper, who each recorded 13 points, along with Yuto Yamanouchi-Williams, who tacked on 10 points and three blocks.
After falling behind 24-16, ORU went on a 6-0 run with 6:59 left in the first half, culminating in a three from Ty Harper, to narrow its deficit to 24-22. Omaha answered back and added to its lead, leaving the Golden Eagles down 36-30 entering halftime. Omaha kept widening its lead after the break, constructing a 43-32 advantage before Oral Roberts went on a 7-0 run, finished off by Naveh's layup, to shrink the deficit to 43-39 with 16:55 in the contest. Omaha responded and outscored the Golden Eagles the rest of the way.
