TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts men's tennis team earned a hard-fought 4-3 victory over UT Tyler on Friday in Tulsa, improving to 3-2 on the 2026 season.
Doubles play opened the match with ORU splitting the three contests. Jack Berry and Rodrigo Guijarro secured the lone doubles point for the Golden Eagles, defeating Jordi Garcia and Samuel Antwi 6-3 at the No. 3 position. UT Tyler claimed wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to take the early advantage.
In singles play, ORU picked up three early victories before the match came down to the final court. Parv Nage earned a win at No. 2 singles, defeating Carel Wessel 6-2, 6-7, 6-2, 6-1, while Pijus Reklevicius added another point at No. 5 with a three-set victory over Jordi Garcia, 6-1, 3-6, 6-3. Rodrigo Guijarro followed with a win at No. 4 singles via retirement.
With the match tied at 3-3, Ricardo Filho clinched the team victory in the final match of the day, outlasting Malo Poulesquen in a four-set battle at No. 1 singles, 7-5, 6-7, 7-5, 7-5.
UT Tyler earned singles wins at No. 3 and No. 6.
