#ORUMBB Falls Short to Bison in Double Overtime Thriller

FARGO, N.D. – The Golden Eagles went wire-to-wire with the North Dakota State Bison, falling 79-77 on the road in their first double-overtime game since March 4th, 2018.
 
In their second Summit League contest of the season, ORU had three players score in double figures, led by Yuto Yamanouchi-Williams, who had 19 points and two blocks. Connor Dow tacked on 15 points and two steals while Ofri Naveh racked up 14 points.
 
To begin the game, ORU fell behind 18-7 before going on a 10-0 run with 12:09 left in the first half, culminating in a bucket from Naveh, to narrow its deficit to 18-17. The Golden Eagles closed the rest of the gap, sparking a 20-14 run and grabbed a 37-32 lead heading into halftime. ORU came out red hot in the first half, shooting 9-17 (52.9%) from deep and 13-26 from the field (50%). ORU's nine triples accounted for 27 of its 37 first half points. The Golden Eagles surrendered their advantage as North Dakota State charged back in the second half to force overtime, tying things up at 57. The Golden Eagles took the game to a second overtime before NDSU prevailed on a last second layup from Noah Fedderson, sealing the 79-77 defeat.
