Kayten Donley recorded her first career double-double as the Oral Roberts women's basketball team defeated St. Thomas 67-52 on Senior Day Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Golden Eagles' head coach finishes her inaugural season with a 15-14 overall record, going 8-8 in Summit League play.

Donley ended the day with 12 points and 15 rebounds, grabbing 12 defensive boards. Oglesby led the team in scoring, shooting 6-of-13 from the floor for 15 points and finishing just one rebound shy of a double-double. Joining in double-figure scoring were
Anna Trusty and
Ari Gordon with 13 and 11 points, respectively.
Oral Roberts collected 42 rebounds compared to St. Thomas' 27, led by Donley's 15 boards. The Golden Eagles also cleaned up the offensive glass, turning 12 rebounds into 10 second-chance points. Donley also led the team in blocks (2), assists (5) and steals (2).
Oral Roberts' defense held St. Thomas to just 7.7 percent shooting from beyond the arc and 38.9 percent from the field. The Tommies struggled on the offensive glass, finishing with four offensive rebounds and four second-chance points while Oral Roberts secured 30 defensive rebounds.
Oral Roberts started strong, building a 12-7 lead heading into the second quarter. ORU did most of its first-quarter damage in the paint, scoring eight of its 12 points near the basket.
St. Thomas rallied to take an 18-17 lead before ORU went on a 5-0 run at the 6:17 mark in the second period, highlighted by a three from Trusty, to take a 22-18 lead. The Tommies battled back to tie it at 27-27 heading into halftime. ORU again found success in the paint, scoring eight of its 15 second-quarter points inside.
After intermission, UST grabbed a 38-36 lead before Oral Roberts responded with a 7-0 run to take a 43-38 advantage with 1:23 remaining in the third. The Golden Eagles maintained control and entered the fourth quarter with a 44-39 edge. ORU scored 12 of its 17 third-quarter points in the paint.
ORU widened the lead to 53-46 before using an 8-0 run to extend the margin to 61-46 with 3:29 remaining. The Golden Eagles held on the rest of the way for the 67-52 victory, scoring 16 of their 23 fourth-quarter points in the paint.

Oral Roberts: Jalei Oglesby led the Golden Eagles with 15 points, while
Kayten Donley posted a double-double of 12 points and 15 rebounds. The freshman forward also led the team with two blocks, five assists, and two steals.
St. Thomas: Alyssa Sand led the Tommies with 19 points, shooting 7-of-13 from the field and recording three blocks. Mikayla Werner had a team-best six rebounds.
