TULSA, Oklahoma – The Oral Roberts baseball team secured the 2026 Summit League Regular Season title after winning game one of a doubleheader against Omaha Saturday afternoon. The win marks head coach
Ryan Folmar's 10th 30-win season in 14 years at the helm of the Golden Eagles.

Oral Roberts opened the day with a 4-3 win over Omaha, with reliever
Jack Hill (6-0) earning the win after 2.1 innings on the mound.
The Mavericks were first on the board, scoring on an RBI double in the fourth. The Golden Eagles quickly responded in the bottom of the frame, putting two in scoring position after
Cooper Combs drew a walk and
Martell Davis singled before both advanced on a
Cooper Kelly sacrifice bunt. Combs scored on a sacrifice fly by
Ethan Fender to tie the game.
Omaha answered with an RBI single in the fifth, but ORU took a 3-2 advantage in the bottom of the inning as
Makani Tanaka launched a two-run homer to right, scoring
Will Edmunson, who had singled.
The Mavericks tied the game, 3-3, with a home run in the seventh, but a bases-loaded walk drawn by Kelly in the bottom of the inning gave ORU the final run of the game and a 4-3 victory.
Omaha reliever Brayden Curtis (3-3) was charged with the loss after allowing one run in 1.2 innings of work.

The Golden Eagles struck first in game two, putting up three runs in the opening inning.
Will Edmunson and
Makani Tanaka opened the frame with singles, with Edmunson moving to third on a flyout. A double by
Cooper Combs, his 13th of the season, drove in Edmunson and advanced Tanaka to third. Davis then drove in both runners with a single up the middle to make it 3-0.
The Golden Eagles loaded the bases in the third as Combs and Davis singled and
Cooper Kelly was hit by a pitch. Combs later scored as
Ethan Fender reached on a fielder's choice.
Omaha evened the score in the fourth, plating runs on an RBI double, two RBI singles and a sacrifice bunt.
The Golden Eagles scored their final run in the fifth as Davis came home on a Fender sacrifice fly after reaching on a single to center.
The Mavericks scored three runs over the final two innings, hitting a two-run homer to left in the eighth before adding an RBI single in the ninth.
Golden Eagles reliever
Maddox Thornton (1-2) was charged with the loss after allowing three runs over 3.0 innings.
Nick Riggs (2-3) earned the win for Omaha after throwing 2.0 scoreless innings while allowing one hit. Nate Moquin picked up his seventh save after tossing the final 2.0 innings.
