Tulsa, Okla. - The Oral Roberts men's basketball program and Head Coach
Kory Barnett have announced the addition of graduate transfer guard Cam Haffner to the 2026-27 roster.
From Westfield, Indiana, Haffner transfers to ORU from Western Kentucky, where he spent his senior season. Prior to WKU, Haffner had stints at Evansville and Eastern Illinois.
As a senior, he appeared in 28 games with six starts, averaging 4.3 points and 1.2 rebounds in 12.7 minutes per game while shooting 34.5% from 3-point range. Scored in double figures three times, including a season-high 18 points on 6-of-14 shooting and 5-of-10 from 3-point range with five rebounds in 29 minutes against No. 23/24 Vanderbilt in the first round of Battle 4 Atlantis (11/26).
In his final season at Evansville, Haffner earned MVC Most Improved Team and MVC Scholar-Athlete Third Team honors. He appeared in 20 games with 20 starts before missing the final 12 contests after suffering an injury. Finished third on the team in scoring, averaging 12.7 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. Tallied 23 points against Radford (Nov. 16) before setting career highs in scoring (27 points), field goals made (10) and field goals attempted (16) in a win over Green Bay (Nov. 22).
Appeared in all 35 games while making 16 starts during the 2023-24 season, averaging 4.7 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. Scored a season-high 11 points in road games at Indiana State (Jan. 3) and Illinois State (Jan. 27). Recorded 10 points in a victory at SEMO (Nov. 15) and added another 10-point performance at Belmont (March 3). Posted a season-high seven rebounds at UNI (Jan. 23), finishing the game with six points, three assists and two steals. Closed the season strong from beyond the arc, converting 14-of-32 3-point attempts over the final 13 games and knocking down at least one 3-pointer in eight of the final nine contests.
In his lone season at Eastern Illinois, he appeared in 27 games with 11 starts and was named the Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Year after leading all OVC freshmen in scoring at 7.5 points per game. Averaged 9.2 points per game in OVC play and was named OVC Freshman of the Week five times. Shot 42.7 percent from 3-point range, ranking third in the OVC, while connecting on 44-of-103 attempts from beyond the arc. Made a season-high five 3-pointers at Little Rock to finish with 17 points and scored a season-high 17 points three times during the season at Little Rock, at Southern Indiana and against St. Mary of the Woods.
Haffner played at Westfield High School where he averaged 16.5 points per game as a senior and knocked down a single-season school-record 85 3-pointers. Earned Indiana Large School All-State honors and was named to the Indianapolis Star All Super Team after leading Westfield to the Indiana Class 4A Regional Championship game as the team finished with a 22-7 record. Was a three-time All-Conference selection, two-time All-Sectional Team selection and All-Regional Team selection. Selected to play in the 2022 Hoosier All-Star Classic and finished his career as a 1,000-point scorer.
