Lazarus Ocira scored his first career goal as a Golden Eagle as the Oral Roberts men's soccer team shutout UTRGV 2-0 Tuesday evening.
The first 45 minutes were scoreless, as both teams recorded four shots with one on goal.
Emre Aydin was responsible for three of the Golden Eagles' four shots in the first half.
Less than 15 minutes into the second half, Ocira put the Golden Eagles on the board, scoring from far outside the box off a pass from
Aiden Ussery.
With 15 minutes left on the clock,
Baptiste Lechuer delivered a long cross to Aydin who sunk a shot in the top left corner, solidifying the Golden Eagles' midweek shutout.
The Golden Eagles will be back in the Case Soccer Complex on Saturday, September 19 at 7 p.m. to take on Houston Christian.
