LAWRENCE, Kansas – The Oral Roberts Cross Country program is set to open its 2026 slate in Lawrence, Kansas, racing in the Bob Timmons Rim Rock Classic meet hosted by the Kansas on Saturday morning.
 
The men's 6K is set to begin at 8 a.m. CST with the women's 5K starting 45 minutes later.

Last season, the Golden Eagles men's team finished first overall with 29 points, besting the host (Kansas) by two points. Senior returner Abraham Chelangam finished first with a time of 17:54.11. Following Chelangam was Andrew Smithwick placed second at 18:17.00, and Artwell Magake rounded out the trio with a time of 18:26.42.
 
The women's team finished second with 53 points, led by returner Ossly Murambidzi, running an 18:27.82 and finishing fourth, and Madeline Cabana finishing right behind her at 18:32.36.
 
Cabana, Chelangam, Murambidzi, and Smithwick each earned a conference nod, being named Summit League Preseason Athlete to Watch this season.
