both coming off wins this past Saturday with ORU besting Western
Illinois, 55-52, and Valpo taking down Centenary, 84-44.

Coaches
ORU head coach Jerry
Finkbeiner is in his 11th season at the helm of the Golden
Eagle program. Already the school�€™s all-time
wins leader, Finkbeiner has amassed a 169-142 (.543) record at ORU
while also holding a 368-176 (.676) overall mark in 18 total
seasons as a head coach. On the other side is head coach Keith
Freeman. Freeman is in his 19th season as a head coach amassing a
351-197 (.641) record and a 222-150 (.591) record in his 13th
season at the helm of the Crusaders. He is the winningest coach in
Valparaiso and the Mid-Continent Conference history.

Valparaiso
Valpo is currently one the
hottest teams in the league, winning nine of their last 11 games
... The Crusaders are coming off a 40-point victory over Centenary
this past Saturday ... Valpo is led by Betsy Rietema, who is
averaging 13.5 points a contest while also grabbing 6.4 boards ...
Tamra Braun and Carrie Myers are also scoring threats, averaging
9.8 and 9.3 points a game respectively ... Myers can light it up
from long range making 63-of-147 (.429) shots from long range ...
She ranks third in the Mid-Con in 3-point percentage but has made
the most treys in the league ... As a team, Valpo is leading the
league from beyond the arc, shooting at a 38.8 percent

This will
be the 24th meeting between the two conference rivals with Valpo
holding a 17-6 advantage ... In Valparaiso, the Crusaders hold a
7-2 advantage over the Golden Eagles, including winning the last
six games at the Athletics-Recreation Center ... The last time
these two teams played each other was in Tulsa with Valpo picking
up the 57-54 victory on January 6 ... The Golden Eagles held a
31-28 lead at halftime but Valpo outscored the Golden Eagles 29-23
in the second half to earn the victory ... Jenny
