Golden Eagles Fall to IUPUI, 3-1

TULSA – The Oral Roberts University women's soccer team fell to IUPUI on Friday night by a score of 3-1 at the ORU Soccer Complex. With the loss, the Golden Eagles dropped to 5-10-1 overall and 2-5 in Summit League play, while IUPUI improved to 12-6 and 6-1 in conference action.

Alicia Brock put the Jaguars on the board first in the 19th minute, converting a shot in traffic from 15 yards out for her eighth score of the season.

The Golden Eagles responded just 27 seconds later, as senior Natalya Manyan (St. Andrew, Jamaica) dribbled through traffic and fired her eighth goal of the year from 15 yards out.

Five minutes into the second half, Megan Hock broke the 1-1 tie for her seventh score of the season to give IUPUI the 2-1 advantage.

Stephanie Hoffman put the game out of reach six minutes later, converting on a cross in front of the goal.

The Golden Eagles edged the Jaguars in shots by a 14-11 margin. Manyan led the squad with six shots, while Jessica Harthcock (Boerne, Texas) added two.

ORU wraps up the regular season against IPFW at 12 p.m. on Sunday at the ORU Soccer Complex.
