ORU Falls Short Against IUPUI, 2-1

TULSA – The Oral Roberts University men's soccer team fell to IUPUI in a crucial Summit League match on Saturday by a score of 2-1 at the ORU Soccer Complex. The Golden Eagles dropped to 5-8-2 overall and 2-2-1 in league play, while the Jaguars improved to 8-6-2 on the season and 3-2-0 in conference action.

The Jaguars struck first in the 24th minute, as Perez Agaba tallied his third goal of the season off a corner kick from Cameron Williams.

Eight minutes later, ORU senior Gary Duran (Santa Cruz, Bolivia) tied the contest at 1-1 with a goal to the right corner from 25 yards out off an assist from Taylor Cluff (Plano, Texas). The goal was Duran's first of the season.

The contest remained knotted up until the 69th minute, when Nate Ohmer fired a shot into the net from 35 yards out for the eventual game-winner.

The Golden Eagles outshot the Jaguars by a 16-11 margin. Duran and fellow senior Carlos Pinto (Santa Cruz, Bolivia) each provided five shots.

ORU wraps up the regular season against Newman at 7 p.m. on Tuesday night at the ORU Soccer Complex.
