TULSA The Oral Roberts' women's basketball
team welcomes the Oakland Golden Grizzlies to the Mabee Center for
a Monday, February 11, 7:05 p.m. tipoff. This is the last of a
three-game homestand for the Golden Eagles.
ORU (13-9, 7-4 Summit League) is coming off
its third-straight win after defeating IPFW 88-71 on Saturday
afternoon. Junior Mariana Camargo was huge in the victory, scoring
a career-high 21 points and tying her career-high of 10 assists to
post her third double-double of the season. Sophomore Kelly
Kindell stepped up for the Golden Eagles by producing a
career-high 15 points, shooting 5-of-8 from three-point
range.
Oakland picked up its first win in four games on
Saturday, defeating Centenary 72-55 in Shreveport. With the win, OU
moves to 14-8 and 7-5 in the league, which puts them in a three-way
tie for fourth place in the race for the league title.
Oakland is led by junior guard Jessica Pike who
average s 16.6 points, while sophomore Melissa Jeltema is the
team's leading rebounder with 7.5 per game. Pike is ranked third in
the league in scoring, averaging 14.2 in conference games, while
Jeltema is seventh in rebounding with a 7.4 average.
