ROCHESTER, Mich.-Katie Bramble scored the game's only goal to lead
Oakland to a 1-0 Summit League victory over Oral Roberts, Sunday at
OU Soccer Field.
Bramble's goal came in the 74th minute and was the result of a pass
in front of the goal from Marlen Knoph. The Golden Eagles managed
three shots in the last four minutes, but came up empty each
time.
The win improves Oakland to 6-7-0 overall and 3-2-0 in Summit play.
ORU slips to 5-8-1 and 2-3-1.
The Golden Eagles recorded just five shots for the game, compared
to six shots for the Golden Grizzlies. Oakland's Shannon Coley made
three saves while
Amanda Wheeler stopped three shots for the Golden
Eagles.
ORU returns to Summit League play when they host IUPUI, 7 p.m.,
Friday at the ORU Soccer Complex.
