TULSA-New Mexico defeated Oral Roberts 2-0 in an exhibition men's
soccer game, Sunday at the ORU Soccer Complex.
The Lobos scored their first goal in the 18th minute when P.J.
Wilson knocked shot past ORU keeper
Irving Peralta. Michael Green
assisted on the goal.
New Mexico held a 1-0 lead until early in the second half when ORU
scored an own goal for a 2-0 Lobos advantage.
Kalen Ryden, in an
attempt to clear the ball from in front of the goal, knocked the
ball in at 45:49.
Peralta faced nine shots and made four saves for ORU, while his
counterparts Justin Fite and Victor Rodriguez combined for three
saves.
The Golden Eagles continue their exhibition season when they visit
Tulsa, 7 p.m., Thursday.
