INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.-IUPUI's Megan Hock scored the game-winning goal
with less than two minutes remaining to lift the Jaguars to a 2-1
Summit League victory over Oral Roberts, Sunday at Kuntz
Stadium.
ORU (7-6-1
overall, 2-2-1 Summit) and IUPUI (8-8-0, 4-2-0) battled through a
scoreless second half until Hock scored via throw-in.
Jennifer
Abernathy started the scoring, getting her team-leading fifth
goal in the 18th courtesy of Maria
Grados assist for a 1-0 ORU lead.
The Jaguars
tied the match less than four minutes later when Alicia Brock took
a Chelsi McHenry pass and knocked a shot past ORU keeper Amanda
Wheeler in the 22nd minute.
The game
remained tied at 1-1 until Hock's score.
Wheeler
faced 14 shots and made two saves while IUPUI's Haseley made five
saves on 14 shots.
The Golden
Eagles next face Southern Utah, 7 p.m., Friday at the ORU Soccer
Complex.
