The Oral Roberts Golden Eagles look to make it three-in-a-row on
the three game roadie, as they face the Jaguars of IUPUI on
Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in Indianapolis, IN.
The last time they took the court, Jaci
Bigham sank a buzzer-beating floater to give ORU a 68-66
victory over Western Illinois. Bigham finished with a game-best 17
points, and Georgia
Jones added 14 points and five steals in the victory.
Scouting IUPUI
The IUPUI Jaguars enter Thursday's game with an overall tally of
1-5. IUPUI has dropped three-straight contests, their last coming
via a 33-66 decision at the hands of Wake Forest. The Jaguars' lone
win of the year was a 64-59 victory over IU-Southeast on November
23. Led by the 10 points and seven rebounds per game of sophomore
forward, Kerah Nelson (preseason All-Summit 2nd team), the Jaguars
are averaging 45 points per game and giving up 69. IUPUI is
shooting 32% on the season, and down an average of three 3-pt makes
per outing.
Returning three starters and four lettermen from a 2009-10 team
that went 3-26, the Jaguars were picked to finish eighth in the
Summit preseason polls.
Series History
Thursday's meeting will mark the 26th time the Golden Eagles have
faced IUPUI. ORU holds a 14-11 series advantage and won both
meetings last season with an 85-60 victory on 1/18/10 at IUPUI and
a 114-43 win on 2/3/10 in the Mabee Center. Kevi
Luper led the way for ORU with 34 points and a career-best 16
made free throws in the February 3rd meeting.
Looking Ahead
Following the IUPUI contest, ORU will enjoy a 12 day break, before
heading to Fayetteville, Arkansas to take on the University of
Arkansas at 7:00 p.m. on December 16.
