Fresh off of a 108-79 win over #8 Western Illinois on Saturday, the ORU women now square off against #4 Oakland in the Summit League semifinals Monday afternoon at 12:00 p.m.

Scouting the Golden Grizzlies
The Oakland Golden Grizzlies enter the afternoon with a 19-11 overall record and a #4 seed in the conference championships. Oakland finished the conference slate with a 12-6 mark, including a narrow 63-61 win at UMKC in the regular season finale on 2/28. The Grizzlies dropped 3 of 5 to close league play, but looked strong in the opening round of the Summit Tourney, as they handled a tough #5 Southern Utah squad 65-58 on Sunday.

Series History
ORU holds a 20-16 lead over Oakland in a series that dates back to 1999. The Golden Eagles have won their last four meetings over the Grizzlies, the most recent coming thanks to an 80-72 double overtime road win on Jan 31. ORU also scored a 96-74 home win on 12/31/10 this season. The last loss came on 2/9/09, when ORU dropped a 75-79 OT decision in Oakland. In the postseason, ORU has a 4-2 record over the Grizzlies. The last time they met in the conference tournament, ORU notched a 71-61 win on March 10, 2008 in the semifinals. The Golden Eagles eventually won the Summit League championship and advanced to the NCAA tournament.
