TULSA, Okla.-The Golden Eagles look to
remain undefeated in the conference as they take on IPFW Friday,
September 30 at 7 p.m. at Case Soccer Complex.
The Golden Eagles (2-5-0) are coming off
a tough 6-1 loss to Missouri State, and they hope that a home match
will help them get back on track. ORU is led by freshman midfielder
J.D. James, who has a team high two goals on the season. Freshman
keeper Nick
Petolick has started six games for the Golden Eagles. He has
contributed 26 saves while allowing 16 goals.
IPFW (3-6-1) is currently in the middle
of a four game winless streak. The match against ORU will be their
first conference game of the season. The Mastodons are led by
senior forward Max Touloute, who has only participated in six
matches but already scored a team-high eight goals. Freshman keeper
Ryan Bristol has started eight matches for IPFW. He has contributed
42 saves and given up 17 goals.
The Golden Eagles are currently first in
the Summit League, while IPFW stands at sixth.
