TULSA, Okla. - The Oral Roberts University
women's basketball team led from start to finish Thursday night to
take an 84-72 win over IUPUI in Summit League action.
The Golden Eagles shot a blistering 58 percent in the win as Vicky
McIntyre posted her second 20-point, 20-rebound game of the
season. McIntyre finished with 21 points and 22 rebounds as four
ORU players also finished the night in double figures.
Dorottya
Balla finished with a season-high 18 points as she helped hold
off a second half rally from the Jaguars adding a career-high four
steals.
IUPUI was led by Jenna Gunn who finished with 19 points on
8-of-13 shooting.
The Turning Point
ORU led the entire game and took a comfortable 41-28
lead into halftime. IUPUI threatened in the second half as a 13-0
run from IUPUI, cut the Golden Eagles' lead to seven points;
however, ORU responded to shot 65 percent in the second half and
hold on to an 84-72 victory.
The Leaders
Oral Roberts: Vicky
McIntyre recorded her 13th double-double of the season to
finish with 21 points and 22 rebounds.
IUPUI: Jenna Gunn finished with 19 points and six
rebounds for IUPUI.
Inside the Box Score
- ORU shot 58.2% from the field in the win the
highest percent since shooting 59.3% against IPFW in a 102-62 win
on Jan. 23, 2012.
- The Golden Eagles also shot over 60% in a half for the first
time this season.
- Jordan
Doyle finished with a season-high six assists and nine made
free throws going 9-of-11.
- It was also the fourth time this season ORU has scored 80 or more
points and 15th during the Misti
Cussen era. ORU is 4-0 this season in those games and 16-0
under Cussen.

- ORU is 7-1 at home this season and 26-6 in the last
three seasons at the Mabee Center for an .812 winning
percentage.
- Vicky
McIntyre is just two rebounds away from tying Jane Voelker at
10th on the ORU single-season rebound list.
- McIntyre's five blocks giver her 83 on the season and she is 11
away from second on the ORU single-season list. Kisa Bradley
tallied 94 during the 1996-97 season.
