TULSA, Okla. - An evenly-matched game
throughout, Oral Roberts used a 7-0 run inside the final three
minutes to top preseason Summit League favorite IPFW 62-58 at the
Mabee Center Saturday night.
Each team led for 17 minutes of a game that featured nine ties
and nine lead changes. IPFW's Steve Forbes, who posted game highs
with 22 points and 10 rebounds, tied the game 53-53 with a layup
with 2:36 to play. From there, ORU scored the next seven, including
five straight from Obi
Emegano to take command of the game.
Emegano led ORU with 15 points while Aaron
Young set a new career high with 14 points. Although the Golden
Eagles shot just 38 percent (20-52), Young was a perfect 4-4 from
the field, hitting both 3-point attempts as well. Korey
Billbury had a team-high eight rebounds.

Emegano found himself wide open and drained the 3-pointer to
give ORU the breathing room it needed with a 58-53 lead with 1:22
to go in the game.
Individual Leaders
Oral Roberts: Obi
Emegano had 15 points while Aaron
Young scored a career-best 14 points. Korey
Billbury led the team in rebounds with eight. Emegano and Jabbar
Singleton each had four assists.
IPFW: Steve Forbes led the Mastodons with 22
points and 10 rebounds.

- IPFW hit 42 percent (23-54) from the field but just 35 percent
(5-14) from 3-point range
- ORU hit nine 3-pointers in the game. After struggling from long

the most the Golden Eagles have trailed at home this year
