Sutton Earns 300th Win with 78-68 Victory at IUPUI

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - A 66 percent shooting effort in the second half and seven blocks helped the Oral Roberts men's basketball team Thursday evening, as the Golden Eagles topped IUPUI 78-68 earning Coach Scott Sutton his 300th career win.

Sutton became the 83rd active coach to reach the milestone.

ORU got 20 points and 10 rebounds from Korey Billbury, with 15 of his points coming in the second half. Obi Emegano added 17 points, 14 in the second frame. The duo combined to account for 32 of ORU's 52 points in the second half after going a combined 2-14 from the field in the first half. Brandon Conley added 12 points and six rebounds while Denell Henderson scored 12 points and swatted a career-high six shots. His six blocks tie him for eighth in the ORU record books and marks the 10th time that an ORU player has blocked six shots in a single game.

P.J. Boutte scored 19 points to lead IUPUI, while Elijah Ray added 10, both coming off the bench for the Jaguars.

ORU held a 34-26 rebounding advantage and that led to a 36-26 advantage in points in the paint.

Turning Point
ORU came out on fire to start the second half and a fast break dunk by Adrion Webber capped a 15-2 run to open up a 41-27 lead less than five minutes into the second half.

Individual Leaders
Oral Roberts: Korey Billbury posted his eighth career double-double and fourth career 20/10 game with 20 points and 10 rebounds, leading ORU in both categories. Denell Henderson blocked a career best six shots while Adrion Webber matched a career high with three steals.
IUPUI: P.J. Boutte scored 19 points to lead the Jaguars offensively while D.J. McCall had a team-high six rebounds.

Inside the Box Score
- ORU shot 66 percent (16-24) in the second half and 54 percent (26-48) for the game.
- The Golden Eagles had 10 steals, the most against a Division I opponent this year.
- After going through a stretch in which ORU shot less than 60 percent from the free throw line in three straight games, the Golden Eagles connected on 78 percent (22-28) on Thursday, marking the second game in a row above 70 percent.

News & Notes
- ORU fell behind by as many as six in the first half but came roaring back behind Brandon Conley who tallied 10 points and six rebounds in the final 14 minutes of the first frame.
- Conley's offense was necessary for ORU after its two leading scorers, Korey Billbury and Obi Emegano, combined to go 2-14 from the field in the first half.
- With 17:21 to go in the game, Denell Henderson tied his career blocks with his fifth swat of the game. He finished the game with six blocks, which ties him for eighth in the ORU record books. It is the 10th time an ORU player has had six blocks in a game.
- Coach Scott Sutton became the 245th coach in history and the 83rd active coach to win his 300th game. All 300 have come on the ORU sidelines.
- Korey Billbury posted his eighth career double-double and fourth career 20/10 game with 20 points and 10 rebounds. He approached triple-double numbers with a team high six assists.
