TULSA, Okla. – The ORU women's soccer team crushed Texas Southern 7-0 Sunday afternoon at the Case Soccer Complex.

A full team effort led to 28 Golden Eagle players taking the field throughout the match. Six different ORU players scored goals in today's contest.

ORU's Lexi Jones scored the first goal for the Golden Eagles from 22 yards out off of an assist by Kelli Keller.

Jones added another goal to make the score 2-0 at the 34 minute mark after she received a pass from Caroline Frank.

Caroline Frank put the Golden Eagles up 3-0 when she scored her first goal of the season from 20 yards off of an assist by Chloe Basnett at the 35 minute mark. Basnett scored her second goal of the season five minutes later that put ORU up 4-0 in the first half after she scored from 25 yards out off of an assist by Megan Guico.

The goals continued in the second half at the 55 minute mark when Alexia Herrera scored a header goal that was passed inside by Caitlyn Hanslovan. This was Herrera's second goal of the season.

The Golden Eagles went up 6-0 at the 63 minute mark when Brittney Lawrence scored her second goal of the season after receiving a pass from Kylie Dellis in a breakaway through the defensive line.

Hannah Briggs scored her first goal of the season and the seventh goal in the match from 15 yards out off of a pass from Chloe Basnett at the 72 minute mark.

• ORU took 42 shots on the day with 22 of those being on goal compared to the Tigers' five shots and two shots on goal.
• Paige Vincent played all 90 minutes for the Golden Eagles and made two saves.
• Brittney Lawrence took nine shots in the match with six being on goal. She scored one goal.

The Golden Eagles will play again on Friday, September 23 at Kansas State. The match is set to begin at 7 p.m. This is the first year for Kansas State to have a women's soccer program. The Wildcats currently have a record of 2-5-2.
