EDINBURG, Texas. – The ORU women's soccer team defeated UTRGV 1-0 Sunday afternoon to win the UTRGV Tournament in Edinburg, Texas.
Sierra Beall scored ninth career goal and first of the 2018 season when she shot the ball from approximately 40 yards out and hit off the of the crossbar and in to the net to give ORU the 1-0 advantage in the 86th minute of play. Pamela Caballeros was credited with the assist. It was her first career assist.
Ryliegh Bohnenstiehl started the game as goalie and played the first 45 minutes. Bohnenstiehl made four saves in the game. Reagan Richins played the remaining 45 minutes and made two saves and was credited with the victory.
