TULSA, Okla. – The ORU women's soccer team shutout Sam Houston State, 3-0, Friday evening at the Case Soccer Complex.
ORU's Marina Solberg scored the game winning goal in the 36th minute for the Golden Eagles. After receiving a pass from Amogelang Motau, Solberg dribbled then took a shot from right to left across the goal and in from 15 yards out for her first goal of her career. Motau was credited with the assist.
Jordan Langebartels scored her third goal of the season in the 60th minute after she went one-on-one with the keeper and connected with the back of the net from six yards out to give ORU a 2-0 advantage. Shannon Smith was credited with the assist on the play.
Sierra Beall also scored her third goal of the season in tonight's match. Beall took a pass from inside the goalie box from Jordan Langebartels and made it from six yards out to give ORU a 3-0 lead in the 69th minute. Langebartels was credited with the assist.
