TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts baseball program will open their season with a two-game series against Little Rock on Sunday, February 21 and Monday, February 22. ORU was slated to open their season in San Antonio, Texas against the University of the Incarnate Word, which was canceled due to weather.

About the Opponent
- This will be the season opener for both the Golden Eagles and the Trojans. Little Rock was slated to open their season against Rice in Houston, but that series was canceled due to inclement weather.
- Aaron Funk was tabbed as the preseason Pitcher of the Year in the Sun Belt Conference.
- Little Rock was picked to finish fourth in the Sun Belt West division, behind Texas State, UT Arlington, and Louisiana.

- The Golden Eagles and Trojans split their contests last year. ORU won on an 11th inning walk-off walk from Hunter Swift. Swift also picked up the victory on the mound in the contest, throwing three shutout frames.
- ORU was picked to finish second in the Summit League, behind Omaha, in the Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Golden Eagles garnered a pair of first place votes in the poll.
- Adam Oviedo was named Summit League Preseason Player of the Year by D1Baseball and Perfect Game. The junior infielder was also named to the Summit League Players to Watch list by Summit League head coaches.
- Sophomore Trey Wolf was named Summit League Preseason Pitcher of the Year by Perfect Game, and was also named to the Summit League Pitchers to Watch list by the head coaches around the conference.
- Head coach Ryan Folmar begins his ninth season as the Golden Eagles skipper. Folmar has a 250-167 career record at the helm of ORU
- ORU adds eight newcomers to the roster. Four freshman: Dylan Wipperman, Price Allman, Reed Ronan, and Cade Denton. Four transfers also join the club: Alec Jones, Bradan Pierce, Dylan Criquet Danielson, and Brett Gregory.
- The Golden Eagles led the Summit League in home runs throughout the shortened 2020 season. Through 16 games, ORU launched 15 home runs. ORU also returns the three leading home run hitters in the conference – Adam Oviedo, Jordan Wiley, and Blake Hall.
- ORU finished the 2020 season tied for the Summit League lead in opposing hitters struck out with 126.
