MACOMB, Ill. – After opening Summit League play at home, the Oral Roberts baseball team will head to the Land of Lincoln to take on Western Illinois. Friday will feature a doubleheader beginning at noon, while Thursday and Saturday will be single games.

• Western Illinois won their Summit League series against South Dakota State, taking three of the four games.
• The Leathernecks won their season opener against No. 4 Louisville, 8-e in Kentucky.
• Brett Sears was named Summit League Pitcher of the Week last week, after throwing a seven inning shutout against South Dakota State.

• Blake Hall was named Summit League Player of the Week on Monday. Hall had a three-hit game on Sunday, including his first home run of the season, to earn the honors.
• ORU is 57-12 all-time against Western Illinois, including 20-9 on the road.
• Between May 2, 1999 and April 25, 2010, ORU won 29 consecutive games against Western Illinois.
