SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Oral Roberts outfielder Joshua Cox and Omaha righthander Richie Holetz earned the latest #SummitBSB Player of the Week honors, league officials announced Monday.

Cox, who is the second straight Golden Eagle outfielder to capture the weekly honor, batted .529, while hitting safely and scoring at least one run in all four games of ORU's 3-1 series win over Western Illinois. The Thornton, Colo., native scored six total runs, drove in four and hit three doubles over the four games as ORU moved into a share of first place in the league standings with Omaha.

Cox had a season-high three hits in the game-one victory and matched that total in the Golden Eagles' game-three victory. He now has seven multi-hit games during his first season at the Division I level.

Holetz earned the second weekly accolade of his career after capturing the final one of the 2020 season that was cut short by the pandemic on March 9. This time, the Mavericks' righthander garnered the accolade after tossing six scoreless innings and allowing just two hits to an NDSU squad that continues to lead the league in team batting average.
 
Holetz' second win of the season was part of a combined-shutout with Jarrett Blunt as the duo held  NDSU scoreless for the first time this season.  The Edina, Minn., native fanned six, marking the fourth time this season he has reached that total in a start.
