OMAHA, Neb. – For the 19
th time since they joined the Summit League in 1998, the Oral Roberts baseball team will open the Summit League Championships as the top seed. In each of the previous eighteen occurrences, the Golden Eagles have been hoisting the tournament trophy and heading to the NCAA Tournament.
The Golden Eagles went 19-7 in Summit League play this season, boasting a 9-3 record at J.L. Johnson Stadium. When it comes to games in the host ballpark, ORU took all three games from Omaha. The Golden Eagles have not lost a Summit League tournament game when the tournament was not held in Tulsa, boasting a 12-0 record with four titles.

About the Opponents
- South Dakota State will be the first opponent for ORU with the first pitch of the Summit League Championships scheduled for 1 pm on Thursday.
- ORU is 6-2 this season against South Dakota State, including a four-game sweep over the Jackrabbits in Tulsa.
- Against North Dakota State, the Golden Eagles are 4-3 this season. ORU took two of three games against the Bison in Fargo before the series finale was snowed out.
- Against Omaha, ORU is 3-0 this season with all three wins coming at Tal Anderson Field. The four-game series in Tulsa was canceled due to COVID issues.

The second team selections included Blake Hall (outfield) and Adam Scoggins (relief pitcher).
- Head Coach Ryan Folmar was named Summit League Coach of the Year for the fifth time.
- Coffey was named Summit League Pitcher of the Year. The five-time All-American is the fifth ORU pitcher to be named Pitcher of the Year under Folmar's tenure.
- Cox was named Summit League Newcomer of the Year, becoming the fifth player to win the award under Coach Folmar.
