TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts baseball team suffered their first shutout of the season Friday evening as they fell 1-0 to Omaha in Summit League action at J.L. Johnson Stadium.

A Drew Reetz solo home run in the second inning proved to be the difference in the contest as the Mavericks took the series opener.

The Golden Eagles seemed to have life in the ninth as Mac McCroskey led off the inning with what was ruled a double down the left-field line on the field. After a replay review, it was determined McCroskey was out at second base. ORU went down in order after the overturned call to end the contest.

Despite allowing only one run over six strong innings, Evan Kowalski picked up his first loss of the season. In relief, Kaleb McCullough tossed three scoreless frames and struck out a career-high six batters.

Offensively, the Golden Eagles had a runner reach second base three times on the night but weren't able to come through with the timely hit.
