SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Oral Roberts baseball team looks to snap their two-game skid as they continue their five-game road swing with a midweek matchup at Missouri State Tuesday evening. First pitch from Hammons Field is set for 6:30 p.m.

Inside the Series
• Tuesday's matchup marks the second meeting of the season and 62nd all-time between the Golden Eagles and Bears.
 
• ORU won the first matchup of the year, 6-5, in walk-off fashion as Mac McCroskey delivered the game-winning hit back on February 22.
 
• All-time, the Golden Eagles hold a 33-28 edge in the series but have dropped six of the last eight meetings. On the road against the Bears, ORU is 10-14 all-time.
 
•Head Coach Ryan Folmar is 7-9 all-time in his career against Missouri State

• Caleb Denny continues to sit atop the Summit League in runs scored (30) and RBIs (33). Justin Quinn leads the league in triples with three and ranks 31st nationally. On the bump, Ledgend Smith ranks first among the conference in wins with four.

• RHP Trey Wolf will make his third start of the season for the Golden Eagles Tuesday.

• ORU was selected as the unanimous favorite to retain their regular-season crown in the 2022 Summit League Preseason Coaches' poll, garnering 36 points and all six of the possible first-place votes they could attain.

• RHP Isaac Coffey earned plenty of preseason accolades as the junior was selected as the Summit League Preseason Pitcher of the Year by both D1 Baseball and Perfect Game USA. The Goleta, California, native also garnered Preseason All-American honors from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and Collegiate Baseball. Joshua Cox was selected as the Summit League Player of the Year by both D1 Baseball and Perfect Game USA. Brooks Fowler garnered Preseason Summit League Freshman of the Year honors from D1 Baseball.

Scouting the Opponent
• The Bears were swept over the weekend in their Missouri Valley Conference opener by No. 24 Dallas Baptist on the road. Over their last 10 contests, Missouri State is 5-5.

• Offensively, the Bears are led by Drake Baldwin (.371 batting average) and Dakota Kotowski (14 homers and 32 RBIs).

• Missouri State was picked to finish sixth in the Missouri Valley Conference Preseason Coaches' poll after finishing 21-23 last season. Catcher Drake Baldwin and pitcher Trey Ziegenbein were selected to the all-MVC preseason team.
