TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts baseball team saw their six-game win streak come to an end in game one of Saturday's doubleheader against Summit League foe North Dakota State as they fell 2-1.
 
Ledgend Smith took the loss despite pitching 6.1 strong innings and only allowing two runs, one of which was unearned. The senior also struck out eight batters for the third straight contest. In relief, Cade Denton threw 2.2 scoreless frames and struck out three.

The Golden Eagles jumped on top, 1-0, in the first as Jackson Loftin scored on an error by the Bison center fielder.
 
North Dakota State leveled the score, 1-1, in the third with a Brock Anderson RBI single.
 
In the seventh, the Bison loaded the bases and scored the go-ahead run on a Garrett Hill hit-by-pitch. The run proved to be the difference in the contest as NDSU went on to win 2-1.
 
Inside the Box Score
- Dustin Demeter and Loftin each went 2-for-4 in the contest to lead ORU.
- In the first, Loftin recorded his 10th double of the season.
- Smith struck out eight over 6.1 innings of work.
- Denton ran his scoreless innings streak to 18 after throwing 2.2 on the day.

TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts baseball team fell 10-2 in the series finale against Summit League foe North Dakota State Saturday afternoon at J.L. Johnson Stadium.
 
After the Golden Eagles leveled the score, 1-1, in the bottom half of the first, the Bison scored six in the second to take a commanding 7-1 lead.
 
Jackson Loftin plated the tying run in the first for ORU on an RBI single through the right side.
 
North Dakota State added two more runs in the fifth to push their lead to 9-1.
 
In the eighth, an RBI single by Caleb Denny got a run back for the Golden Eagles but the Bison responded with another in the ninth to make the final tally 10-2.
 
Inside the Box Score
- Denny and Loftin registered multi-hit performances in the loss.
- Loftin has now had five straight multi-hit games.
- The redshirt junior also collected his 30th RBI of the season in the loss.
- Brody Gibson was the only other Golden Eagle to register a hit.
- Isaac Coffey suffered the loss after allowing seven runs, four of which were earned, over 1.2 innings.
- With the 1.2 innings of work, Coffey has now thrown 200 innings in his ORU career.
- Andrew Roach, Foster Roy and Reed Ronan worked scoreless appearances in relief.

- With the doubleheader sweep, the Bison took the series against ORU.
- Despite the losses, the Golden Eagles still hold a 46-21 edge all-time in the series.
- At home, ORU is now 30-9 all-time against the Bison.
- Head Coach Ryan Folmar is 31-15 in his career against NDSU.
