TULSA, Okla. – Behind a strong performance from the pitching staff, the Oral Roberts baseball team snapped their two-game skid with a 5-1 victory over in-state foe Oklahoma Tuesday night at J.L. Johnson Stadium.

Kaleb McCullough and
Cade Denton combined for 8.1 scoreless innings and 13 strikeouts on the night. Archambo was credited with the win, his fourth of the season, after throwing a scoreless frame with one punchout.

Freshman righthander, Hall, was sharp on the bump, tossing three scoreless innings and striking out five. In his last two midweek outings, the freshman has thrown six scoreless frames, struck out 11 and faced one over the minimum.

Three of the first four batters reached safely in the opening frame for the Golden Eagles, setting up a bases-loaded opportunity for
Holden Breeze. The redshirt sophomore came through as he cleared the bases with a three-RBI triple to give ORU the early lead.

Jackson Loftin launched his team-leading seventh home run of the season in the third to extend the Golden Eagle advantage, 4-0. With a 2-for-3 performance at the dish, Loftin extended his hitting streak to 10 games. During the 10-game stretch, the redshirt junior owns a .459/.522/.703 slash line to go along with two homers, 10 RBIs and four stolen bases.

In the fourth,
Connor Beichler crossed the plate on a wild pitch to push ORU's lead to 5-0.

The Sooners broke through on the scoreboard in the seventh as Hudson Polk scored on a wild pitch to make it 5-1, ORU. Following a walk to load the bases, the Golden Eagles turned to the arm of McCullough.

The senior forced a flyout to end the threat and followed with a scoreless eighth in which he struck out the side.

Denton slammed the door shut in the ninth for his ninth straight scoreless appearance as the Golden Eagles went on to defeat Oklahoma, 5-1.

Jake McMurray led all hitters with a 3-for-4 performance at the dish. The three hits matched the junior's season-high.
- Loftin extended his hitting streak to 10 games with a 2-for-3 performance.
- Beichler was the third and final Golden Eagle to register a multi-hit performance in the win.
