TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts baseball team concludes its six-game road trip in the Lone Star state March 14-15 with a pair of midweek contests against Tarleton and Abilene Christian. Tuesday's contest at Tarleton is slated for 3 p.m., while first pitch for Wednesday's game at ACU is scheduled for noon.

Inside the Series (Tarleton)
• The Golden Eagles and Texans square off for the second time this season. ORU claimed the first meeting all-time between the two clubs, 6-5, back on March 1 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.Â
• Joshua Caravalho picked up the win on the mound for the Golden Eagles after tossing 5.2 innings of one-hit baseball.
Inside the Series (Abilene Christian)
• Wednesday's midweek marks the fourth meeting all-time between the Golden Eagles and Wildcats.
• ORU took two of three in the two club's first meeting back in 2014 in Tulsa, Okla.

• The Golden Eagles are looking to snap a three-game losing streak after suffering their first series sweep of the season at Dallas Baptist over the weekend.
• On the mound, the starting rotation was solid for ORU as the trio of Jakob Hall, Harley Gollert and Brooks Fowler combined for 3.50 ERA over 18 innings of work.
• Third baseman Holden Breeze registered three consecutive multi-hit performances over the weekend and finished the week with a .429/.500/.500 slash line.
• RHP Evan Kowalski will get his first start of the season on Tuesday, while Caravalho will get the nod on Wednesday.Â
• For Kowalski, the start will be the 16th of his Golden Eagle career. Caravalho has won his last two starts after throwing a combined 10.2 scoreless innings.
• Entering the week, the Golden Eagle offense leads the Summit League in batting average (.287), runs (92), hits (162), doubles (31), RBIs (85), total bases (260) and on-base percentage (.360). On the mound, ORU tops the conference in ERA (4.38), WHIP (1.27), saves (5), innings pitched (144.0), hits allowed per nine innings (7.6) and strikeouts (156). Defensively, the Golden Eagles top the League in putouts (432), assists (155), double plays (16) and fielding percentage (.985).
• Nationally, ORU ranks eighth in double plays and 13th in fielding percentage.
• Drew Stahl continues to lead the League in RBIs with 17, while Jake McMurray sits atop the leaderboard in walks with 10.Â
• On the mound, Fowler remains the League leader in ERA (2.14), hits allowed per nine innings (4.8) and WHIP (0.93). Fowler is also tied for the conference lead in wins with Gollert and Caravalho. Hall ranks first among the League in innings pitched with 23.0.
• The Golden Eagles are coming off their 20th Summit League Tournament Championship and 29th NCAA Regional appearance after finishing with a 38-20 record in 2022. ORU returns 15 players from last year's NCAA Regional squad and welcomed 17 newcomers in the offseason.
• After an electric 2022 season out of the bullpen, junior right-hander Cade Denton received Preseason First Team All-American honors from the National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association (NCBWA) and was tabbed the Preseason Summit League Pitcher of the Year by D1 Baseball and Perfect Game USA. The Rowlett, Texas, native was also named to the Preseason Watch List for the NCBWA Stopper of the Year Award, given to the top relief pitcher in NCAA Division I Baseball.
• In the 2023 Summit League Preseason Coaches' Poll, ORU was selected as the unanimous favorite to claim the regular season crown. The Golden Eagles received 42 points and earned all six first-place votes they could. Redshirt senior Mac McCroskey and Denton were named the Preseason Player and Pitcher to Watch for ORU as voted on by the league's seven head coaches. McMurray and Denton garnered Preseason All-Summit League honors from Perfect Game USA.
• Entering the 2023 season, ORU ranks sixth all-time in NCAA history with a .652 winning percentage.Â
• Since 2001, ORU has made 17 NCAA Regional appearances, which rank as the most among Oklahoma schools.
• Head Coach Ryan Folmar enters his 11th season at the helm of the Golden Eagles and has compiled a 328-217 (.602) overall record. Â
Scouting the Opponent (Tarleton)
• Tarleton dropped two of three in its WAC opener over the weekend and enters the midweek with an 11-5 record.
• Mason Hammonds leads the Texans' offense with a .424 average to go along with two homers and 13 RBIs.
• Tarleton will send RHP Isiah Campa to the mound in Tuesday's contest.
• In the WAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, the Texans were picked to finish 10th.
Scouting the Opponent (Abilene Christian)
• The Wildcats enter the midweek on a three-game win streak and are 13-3 on the season.
• Logan Britt paces the offensive attack for ACU as the junior holds a .397/.412/.635 slash line to go along with three homers and 14 RBIs.Â
• The Wildcats will throw RHP Rolando De La Cruz on Wednesday.
• In the WAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, ACU was selected to finish fourth.
