TULSA, Okla. – Oral Roberts baseball head coach Ryan Folmar announced the promotion of longtime assistant Ryan Neill to Associate Head Coach on Thursday.
"We are so excited to be able to honor Ryan this way," said Folmar. "I don't think there is anybody more invested in this program than he is. He spent four years as a player here and going on 20 years as a coach, there is nobody more deserving. He is a great coach, a great family man and a great friend."
Neill, a 2013 ORU Hall of Fame inductee, is currently in his 20th season on the Golden Eagle staff and has been apart of 17 conference championships during his tenure as a player and coach. Since 2006, Neill has served as ORU's bench coach, recruiting coordinator, infielder coach and third base coach. In his playing career, Neill was a two-time all-conference member, the 1999 Mid-Continent Tournament MVP and a Collegiate Baseball Third Team All-American in 1999. To this day, Neill still holds the program's career home run (48) and RBI (199) records.
