SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – After a career weekend at the plate, Oral Roberts first baseman Jake McMurray has been named the TicketSmarter Summit League Peak Performer of the Week, as announced by League officials Monday. The senior was also named a Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week, joining Mac McCroskey and Matt Hogan as the only other Golden Eagles to earn the honor this season. 

McMurray went 7-for-13 (.538), launched four home runs and drove in seven RBI in a series sweep over South Dakota State. The senior, who had not homered all season, recorded his first career multi-home run performance on Friday and then accomplished the same feat in the series finale on Sunday. McMurray also doubled, swiped a base and scored six runs on the weekend.
