TULSA, Oklahoma – After a weeklong break from conference play, the Oral Roberts baseball team returns to Summit League action at home, hosting Northern Colorado for a three-game series beginning Thursday, April 2 at 6 p.m.
The Easter weekend series features a full slate of promotions, beginning with Jersey Night on Thursday in honor of the 2026 MLB season kicking off. Friday will be Super Mario Night at Chapman Park, while Saturday will feature an Easter celebration, including a postgame Easter egg hunt in the outfield.

The Golden Eagles are coming off a 4-0 loss to #8 Oklahoma on Tuesday evening.

National Recognition:
Easton Teel was recently named a top 100 starting pitcher by D1 Baseball, checking in at No. 67 in the week six rankings. The right-hander currently leads the league with a 2.73 ERA and 1.09 WHIP. He ranks second in strikeout-to-walk ratio (4.29) and walks allowed per nine innings (1.91). A sophomore, Teel has started every weekend series this season.
Golden Eagle Defense:
ORU's defense ranks among the best in the nation, as its .983 fielding percentage sits 13th nationally. The Golden Eagles have also turned 18 double plays this season, third-most in the league.

Sophomore
Easton Teel was named the Summit League Peak Pitcher of the Week last Tuesday. The right-hander threw 6.2 scoreless innings in the Golden Eagles' series-opening 4-0 win over St. Thomas. The Choctaw, Okla., native scattered four hits and struck out a career-high nine Tommies.

Scouting the Opponent:
Northern Colorado enters the weekend with a 6-24 overall record and a 4-4 mark in Summit League play.
The Bears lead the league with a .276 team batting average, paced by Zeke Minic's .343 average, which ranks fourth in the conference. Minic also ranks fourth in slugging percentage (.493) and OPS (.898). UNC's 275 hits are a league-best, while its 16 home runs rank second. The Bears also lead the conference in stolen bases with 37.
Freshman outfielder Mason Griffin was named one of D1 Baseball's top 100 hitters of the week after recording eight RBI on seven hits– including three doubles, a triple, and a home run– across 12 at-bats. Griffin struck out just once during the week.
As a staff, UNC owns a 10.61 ERA, allowing 303 runs (275 earned) on 320 hits. Projected Friday starter Reece Wagner ranks 10th in the league in opponent batting average (.271), while Saturday starter Jake Storey leads the conference in strikeouts looking (11).
Head coach Mike Anderson holds a 388-325-3 career record and is 51-129-1 in his four seasons with the Bears.
