TUCSON, Ariz. – The Oral Roberts baseball team (43-11, 23-1) rose to No. 10 in this week's Collegiate Baseball NCAA Division I poll, as announced by the publication on Monday. This marks the Golden Eagles' first time in the Top 10 since 1983.
ORU, who has been ranked in the poll for six consecutive weeks, is currently riding the nation's longest active win streak, 15, and is 33-3 in its last 36 contests. Over the weekend, the Golden Eagles secured their 10th consecutive series with a sweep of Western Illinois. In Saturday's regular-season finale, ORU collected win No. 43, which is tied for the most in the Ryan Folmar era.
The Golden Eagles, who clinched their 20th Summit League regular season title in early May, will serve as the No. 1 seed at the Summit League Baseball Championship and square off against No. 4 seed Omaha in the opening round on Wednesday, May 24 at noon from Newman Outdoor Field in Fargo, North Dakota.
