TUCSON, Ariz. – The Oral Roberts baseball program's 2023 recruiting class has been tabbed as one of the Top 50 in the nation and No. 1 in the Summit League by Collegiate Baseball, as announced Tuesday. This marks the fourth consecutive year the Golden Eagles have received national recognition for their recruiting class.

In the offseason, head coach Ryan Folmar and the staff welcomed 14 transfers and five freshmen. Of the 14 transfers, two hail from Power 5 programs in outfielder Kyle Booker (Tennessee) and catcher Cameron LaLiberte (Arizona), one from Wichita State in infielder David Herring, one from Stephen F. Austin in outfielder Alex Rodgers, two pitchers from the NCAA Division II level in Ryan Carmack (Illinois-Springfield) and Jared Ure (Colorado Mesa) and the remaining eight from two-year schools. Overall, this year's recruiting class features players from Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas. 

The Golden Eagles are coming off a historic season that saw them record a program record (DI-era) 52 wins and advance to the College World Series for the first time since 1978. En route to its second trip to Omaha, ORU claimed its 26th conference regular season title and 27th conference tournament championship. Five players from the 2023 squad went on to hear their name called in the MLB Draft, while seven more signed professional contracts.
