SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota State righthander Nic McCay and Oral Roberts third baseman Holden Breeze garnered the latest TicketSmarter Summit League Baseball Peak Pitcher and Performer of the Week awards, League officials announced Monday.
 
McCay claimed his third pitching honor in the last four weeks after tossing six shutout innings in SDSU's 5-1 victory in the series opener at North Dakota State. The graduate student earned his third win in League play after allowing only two hits and walking three while striking out 10 Bison.

The double-digit strikeout effort was his third of the season as he pushed his season total to 58 in just 39.2 innings of work. The Carlisle, Iowa native had multiple strikeouts in four frames vs. NDSU.
 
Breeze hit safely in all four of ORU's games last week, going 9-for-18 at the plate with a pair of home runs and seven RBI. He finished the series win at Northern Colorado with an 8-for-15 effort that included a four-hit, four-run outing in the series-opening win and added a three-hit effort in the game-two victory.

The Gilbert, Ariz., native's four runs were a new career-high, while his hit total equaled his career-high. He also homered in both of those victories and also drove in three runs as the Golden Eagles won their first League series of the season.
